YOUR HOME TRAINING SETUP

Less equipment.
More purpose.

Start with the routine you want to follow. Choose the kit that helps you do it consistently.

You do not need a room full of machines. For Home Dumbbell Reset, start with dumbbells and clear floor space. Add other equipment when your routine calls for it.

01 · THE STARTING POINT

A pair of dumbbells.

Adjustable dumbbells can offer several loads in a small space. Fixed pairs can be simpler to handle, but need more storage as your collection grows.

  • Check whether the listing includes a pair or one dumbbell, and whether the stated weight is per hand.
  • Look for a useful starting load and small enough weight increments for your exercises.
  • Check the locking mechanism, grip, dimensions and the manufacturer’s handling instructions.
  • Measure your storage space and allow room to lift without hitting furniture.

There is no single correct starting weight. Choose a load you can control through the programme’s prescribed repetitions; different exercises may need different loads.

02 · OPTIONAL UPGRADE

A stable bench.

A bench adds options when your plan includes bench-based exercises. Floor presses are included in Home Dumbbell Reset, so a bench is not your first purchase.

  • Check the stated total load rating, including your body weight and the weights you lift.
  • Look for secure adjustment pins, stable feet and a position that suits the exercise.
  • Measure the bench when in use and folded, if storage matters.
  • Follow assembly and inspection instructions. Avoid improvising a bench with household furniture.

03 · COMFORT & SPACE

A practical floor mat.

A mat can make floor-based work more comfortable and help define your training area.

  • Choose dimensions that let you lie down and move without reaching furniture.
  • Check grip on your flooring and clean it as the manufacturer recommends.
  • A very soft mat may feel unstable for standing lifts; use a firm, level surface.
  • Check whether the mat is intended for floor exercise or equipment protection. These are different uses.

04 · EXTRA OPTIONS

Resistance bands.

Bands can be useful for exercises that specifically call for them. They do not replace every dumbbell movement in a programme.

  • Choose the band style required by your exercises: long loop, mini loop or handled tube.
  • Check the resistance range and material; colour codes vary between brands.
  • Inspect for splits, wear and damaged attachments before use.
  • Only use anchors and setups approved by the manufacturer. Stay within stated stretch limits.

Do I need all four items?

No. Buy for the exercises in your programme. Dumbbells and clear floor space are the starting point for Home Dumbbell Reset; a bench and bands are optional additions.
